Office Manager

As Office Manager, Kendall is responsible for all invoicing, bookkeeping, proofreading, and many other duties as assigned! This works well since she enjoys juggling lots of things at once.

She has had a number of jobs in York, both part-time and full-time, depending upon the ages and stages of her children. She worked for a financial services company, York Benevolent Association, York County Bar Association, Downtown Inc and Cultural Alliance of York County before coming to Moxie in the spring of 2011. She has experience in database management and bookkeeping as well as general office management.

Kendall has been involved in the York community since she moved here for such organizations as: St. John’s Episcopal Church, Junior League of York, Women’s Giving Circle, Planned Parenthood of Central PA, YMCA, Springdale Neighborhood Association, Crispus Attucks Youthbuild Charter School, Crispus Attucks Association and others.

Kendall has a BBA/Finance from the University of Texas and moved to York from Washington, DC with her husband, Eric, in late 1987. She has always lived in the City of York and is passionate about it.

A Little Inside Info

Why is your photo location your favorite York destination?

I love baseball. Eric and I spent many evenings watching the Orioles at Memorial Stadium early in our lives together. Our son, Reid, played baseball for many years and Eric was a coach. And we’ve spent lots of time at Sovereign Bank Stadium. Not only is it a great place to watch baseball, but, having lived in York City for 24 years,  I love that it’s plopped right there on the edge of downtown!

What activities do you enjoy and why?

I love to read and am constantly trying to balance reading books with keeping up with The New Yorker magazine! I also love to sing – I’m an alto in the choir at St. John’s Episcopal Church and it makes me happy! I enjoy gardening or at least having a garden and I try to do something active most days, either running, biking, walking or lifting weights – important but not necessarily always enjoyable!

What are you most passionate about professionally?

I’m a generalist and have always enjoyed jobs where there is lots going on all the time.  But, I’m passionate about proofreading. Don’t laugh! I’ve always had an eye for detail and love making sure that the data upon which people make decisions is correct! I’m a killer proofreader and my eye just catches misspelled/misused words, incorrect apostrophes, the wrong its/it’s – really, it’s hard being me!
