Hilary Trout
About Me
A recent addition to the Moxie team, Hilary Trout is settling in as Account Coordinator, assisting in the planning and executing of many marketing efforts for our various clients. Hilary enjoys crafting marketing strategies and mixing promotion copy in just the right way to best target the markets our clients are trying to reach. Dabbling in various marketing vehicles to reach the dynamic demographic of Moxie’s diverse client base has proven to be exciting for Hilary, who welcomes a new adventure every day.
With a major in Marketing and a minor in English, Hilary graduated from the University of Maryland and was accepted into Macy’s Management Training Program. Upon completion of the training, Hilary managed departments in several northern New Jersey stores. When an opportunity opened up back in her hometown, Hilary decided to return to York and take on the position of Marketing and Sales Support Manager for Ampersand Corporation, a local company providing branch automation software to the international banking market. Years later when Ampersand was acquired by Electronic Data Systems Corporation, Hilary stayed on in the role until the local division was absorbed by the parent company and Hilary decided it was a good time to stay home and raise a family. After years keeping busy by volunteering in the community and serving on many PTO committees and boards, Hilary is excited to be part of the work force and even better, part of a marketing team again.
A Little Inside Info
What do you do outside of work?
I’m very involved in the PTOs at my kids’ schools. Over the years I’ve held a slew of committee and executive board positions. I figure I need to volunteer and get involved if I want to have my opinions count.
What activities do you enjoy and why?
Vacationing at my favorite spot in Cape Cod, MA is something I love. I also enjoy researching my family’s genealogy, gardening, and photography.
What is one of your favorite spots in York County?
I love Nixon County Park. I think it is one of York’s best kept secrets. I find a new hidden adventure every time I come. The park is small enough to have a friendly “kids can run free” feel to it but big enough that it doesn’t ever get boring. The Nature Center and its programs are amazing. From reptile holding, bird watching, and snake identification to summer nature programs for the kids, the center really goes above and beyond to provide outstanding services and present an impressive park.
