Does my organization need to fall within a particular geographic location in order to apply?
Grant applicants’ organizations must be located within south central Pennsylvania (including Gettysburg, Hanover, York, Harrisburg and Lancaster).
In order to submit an application, does our organization have to be of a certain status?
Yes, in order to be eligible for the Moxie Grant Program, your organization must be of a 501(c)3 status.
What is the deadline for submission?
Please submit your application no later than February 15th for the Spring Grant and June 15th for the Fall Grant.
Who judges the Grant Program?
The Moxie Grant Program is judged by an independent board of individuals. This board is composed of individuals from the York, Lancaster and Harrisburg areas.
How does judging work?
The Moxie Grant Program is judged by an independent board of individuals. The judges will review the applications and submit their list of top 3 to Moxie with rating scores. Scores will be compiled to determine winner and Moxie will then contact them to make arrangements for the first meeting.
How do you score the applications?
Applications will be reviewed by an independent review committee. Scoring of the proposals will be broken down as follows:
40% Project Definition
Describe the project in detail, including goals and objectives, proposed schedule, work plan and process.
30% Demonstrated Value
What value will completion of this project bring to the organization?
20% Sustainability
How will this project help the organization two years from now?
10% Previous Experience
What is the organizations’ experience working with professional design and marketing firms?
